These Croissant Waffles are the best way to use leftover croissants. Ready in less than 10 minutes, these "croffles," can be made sweet, savory, or as is. Easy to make and a hit with kids, this sweet snack makes breakfast yummy, fun and quick.

Ingredients

  • 2 miniature croissants
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • butter or avocado spray for spraying waffle iron
  • fresh berries, Greek yogurt or syrup (for serving) optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle machine according to the instructions.
  • Slice the croissants in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom piece for each.
  • In a shallow bowl or dish, whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and stir until well combined.
  • Dip each croissant half into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well-coated on both sides.
  • Grease the preheated waffle iron with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the dipped croissant halves in the waffle iron, close the lid, and cook according to the waffle iron instructions or until the croissants are golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully remove the croissant waffles from the iron and serve.
