Ground Chicken Spaghetti

This ground chicken spaghetti is an easy meal the whole family will love. Perfectly cooked pasta, ground chicken and super easy jarred red sauce makes an easy weeknight meal that makes lots of leftovers. Add a few Italian spices to fancy it up and no one will know the sauce isn't homemade!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 8 oz. spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • fresh basil optional
  • fresh parsley optional

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti or pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Add ground chicken and season with black pepper and garlic powder. Cook until no longer pink.
  • Once chicken is cooked, add about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce and pour over chicken (use more if needed). Turn the heat down to low and cover with lid to cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta with the rest of the marinara sauce and parmesan cheese.
  • Stir everything together until the ingredients are well coated with the sauce.
  • Garnish with more grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
