Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Assembly (optional)

  • burger buns
  • lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions (any desired toppings)
  • cheese slices
  • condiments

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, sour cream, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Ensure that they are same in size for even cooking.
  • Spray avocado oil spray in the air fryer basket and place the chicken patties in a single layer, leaving some space between them. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the patties are cooking, prepare your burger buns and desired toppings.
  • If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
  • Assemble your air fryer chicken burgers by placing the cooked patties on the buns and adding your favorite toppings and condiments.
