Crispy, Crunchy, Healthy Air Fryer Green Bean Fries

My family loves these crispy green bean fries. The little ones can’t even tell they’re green beans and the older ones think they’re green french fries. Everyone wins!

The air fryer crisps them super fast and is an easy clean up. These make a perfect side dish or yummy snack. I serve them with a homemade ranch dressing and regular ketchup and watch them disappear.

👩‍🍳 How to Make Air Fryer Green Bean Fries

  1. Wash the green beans and trim off the stem ends.
  2. In one shallow dish, beat the eggs. In a second bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well to create the breading mixture.
  3. Dip a green bean into the beaten egg wash, ensuring it’s well coated. Then roll the green bean in the panko mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the bean to adhere.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F
  5. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with avocado oil spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the breaded green beans in an even layer in the air fryer basket. Cooking time will vary, you may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Air fry the green bean fries for 5 minutes. They should be golden brown and crispy.

🪄 Tips and Tricks

  • Wet hand before dipping into the egg mixture to prevent egg from sticking to your hands. Use your dry hand to dip green beans into the breadcrumb mixture. Alternating hands will prevent a clumpy mess.
  • Trim ends of green beans. The ends are tough and sharp and do not taste very good.
