If you’re in need of a quick and healthy dinner that’s also delicious, this air fryer halibut is a great option.

Cooking in the air fryer is the best way for me to cook fish. It’s a quick and consistent easy weeknight meal. Using frozen or fresh halibut filets and a few simple ingredients, you’ll have perfectly cooked flaky halibut in less than 15 minutes.

I love halibut because it’s a mild white fish and a great source of lean protein. It has heart healthy fats, amino acids and is low in fat and calories compared to other fish.

I limit halibut to once a week due to its moderate amount of mercury, especially if serving to children. If you’re looking for good options of a lower mercury fish for children and babies, try my Pesto Crusted Salmon and Salmon Nuggets.

  4. Brush each piece of halibut with the seasoning mixture, making sure to coat them evenly on both sides.
  5. Place the seasoned halibut fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook the fillets in batches.
  6. Cook the halibut in the preheated air fryer for about 8-10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the filets, so adjust accordingly.
